Along with our partner Country Bank, our goal is to get Toto's book out into the hands of children in the communities affected by the 2011 Tornado. Country Bank will donate a copy of Toto the Tornado Kitten to local schools and libraries.

About The Author

This is Jonathan's first foray into the world of children's literature. Although initially an unlikely person for the job, his many years of being an ambulance driver at an amusement park have made him truly understand the psyche of children, especially those about to vomit. With over 20 years of EMS experience, he has a number of unique stories, and was happy to have finally found one that could be turned into a book suitable for all audiences.

He is especially grateful to the many people who have helped to make this book project possible. There have been a number of people who have brought this crazy idea to pass. Beginning with his friends, co-workers,  and family, who - after they stopped laughing at the idea - became his biggest supporters, and the staff of the Animal Rescue League of Boston, who not only cared for Toto, but have provided marketing and PR assistance. Many thanks go out to Carol Ruzicka for her help in illustrating and laying out the book. He is especially  indebted to the Community Development team at Country Bank - Patty, Deb & Paul - who have proved to him that there are businesses out there who understand the importance and benefits of supporting local communities.

When not out kayaking, sailing, or lollygagging about, Jonathan is a freelance Paramedic at Six Flags New England, ALERT Ambulance, the DMAT MA-2 Federal Disaster team, and in his hometown of Brimfield, Massachusetts.

Jonathan is happy to share Toto's unique story — as well as the importance of the role played by volunteers within small communities — with your group or gathering.
